Description: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on smaller companies, startups, and medium-sized enterprises. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, and payroll when needed. You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor an accounting assistant, fostering a collaborative team mindset when delegating tasks. Responsibilities: The primary role for all accounting items at RML Advise and plan with the company owners on financial decisions Manage and account for all incoming revenue Create and maintain Profit and Loss (P&L) statements Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes Lead other team members in their daily tasks Process payroll when needed Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards Prepare financial reports for management review Collaborate with our billing team to ensure effective financial operations Meet strict deadlines and adhere to set timeframes Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends and potential areas for improvement Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Support external audits as needed Lead and mentor an accounting assistant, fostering a collaborative team mindset when delegating tasks Other duties as assigned Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CMA, or CFA license is highly desirable. 6-10 years of experience in Accounting 2-3 years of experience in a Senior Leadership role. Proven experience in accounting, preferably in a startup environment. Experience running all accounting operations, including payroll Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and regulations Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet strict deadlines Excellent communication skills Proficiency in accounting software Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Solution-oriented and a proactive team mindset Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required Ideal start date: Whenever we find the right fitSchedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pmWork Location: Onsite in Draper, UTJob Type: Full-time, W2 Salary: 85,000 to 95,000 per year Benefits: Dental Insurance Health Insurance (Employer contribution is approx 60%) Vision Insurance 21 days of PTO Annually (combined with sick policy, but not including 7 paid holidays) Work-life balance Draper, UT: Onsite to start, Hybrid option later, once settled and trained, Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required) If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in joining our team, please submit your resume for consideration.
