Vista Clara Inc. develops and manufactures advanced nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) geophysical instruments used for environmental, geotechnical, and groundwater resource investigations throughout the globe. The company works with private businesses and U.S. and foreign government customers. Vista Clara is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team! The Business Development Manager takes a lead role in developing new commercial business for the company and expanding business among existing customers. This position requires a technical background in hydrogeology, environmental remediation and/or geotechnical engineering, the ability to understand Vista Clara’s NMR geophysical products and communicate their value to potential customers in these sectors, and a demonstrated interest and ability to sell new technologies in these market sectors. The Business Development Manager will work from Vista Clara’s office in Mukilteo, WA. Key Areas of Responsibility: Identify opportunities for Vista Clara’s NMR geophysical products and services in the market sectors of Environmental Remediation, Geotechnical Engineering and Groundwater Resources. Generate leads through cold calling and networking. Develop and maintain key customer accounts. Keep up with the latest industry developments, including market positioning of competitors. Assess customer needs and the company’s ability to meet those needs. Follow up with new leads and referrals generated from the sales team. Manage international distributor relationships. Use CRM software to manage customer interactions and track sales progress. Manage junior members of the Sales and Marketing team. Develop and execute a 3-5 year sales and marketing strategy to maximize commercial sales in key product areas and applications. Education and/or Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Geophysics, or a similar field. Advanced degrees are appreciated. Minimum of 5 year’s experience in customer-facing technical and/or business development roles in the sectors of Groundwater Resources, Environmental Remediation, Geotechnical Engineering or Mining. Demonstrated ability to develop new business. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Undertake extensive domestic and international travel. Able to lift equipment up to 50 pounds. Possess US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
