Potential Inc.'s Entry-Level Behavior Technician and School Paraprofessional interns provide ABA therapy to children and young adults with Autism. ABA , or Applied Behavior Analysis , is an approach to Autism services that teaches skills and modifies behaviors through positive reinforcement. Our interns provide specialized attention to clients, working with one client at a time. Each client has a unique plan created to meet their specific needs and goals. This is a hands-on, active internship in which you will provide therapy to our clients with supervision from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). We're committed to your growth and success. We provide in-depth paid training that prepares you to work with clients. Our internship is suitable for those seeking an internship opportunity as part of their college education and for those who are looking to gain experience in the field of behavioral health for personal enrichment. After training, interns should be: Ab le to engage and keep up with children, adolescents, and young adults (aged 2 - 21 ) Able to work with clients with varying levels of need Able to Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs following each client's treatment plan Open to receiving and incorporat ing feedback from your clients' BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) in future sessions Able to accurately doc ument client sessions by collect ing data , writing session notes, and completing service logs /timesheets Able to maintain client safety and confidentiality Comfortable coming into contact with bodily fluids and assisting clients with toileting needs Job Requirements High School diploma or GED Able to commit to a minimum of 5 months with Potential Reliable transportation to see clients in Newtown, Warminster, Levittown, and the surrounding communities in Lower Bucks County Ability to engage, play, and keep up with active children, adolescents, and young adults Basic proficiency with technology Ability to attend one of our paid training courses Potential believes that all people are entitled to equal employment opportunities.
