The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start.ResponsibilitiesJob Function The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for providing the best possible services to our internal and external customers by directing Distribution Center workers in the receiving, storage, PPA support, selection and shipping of our high-quality products and ensuring efficient, economical and safe handling of warehouse merchandise and equipment. Responsible for the skill development of warehouse team members and office staff. Will back up site distribution manager as assigned.Job Activities --Customer Focus - Achieve and maintain alignment in the value chain between suppliers, MOM Brands and the CustomerMaintain shipping/receiving schedules and Post's high-quality standards of food safety, inventory accuracy and documentation.Food Safety Expertise----Serve as Lead Distribution SQF Practitioner.Have completed a HACCP, SQF, Food Defense, Internal Auditor, PCQI Training CourseworkOversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the SQF System and stay current with all regulatory updates.Ensure that all company food safety, defense, security, and quality assurance procedures are followed and documented.--EHS & Site Safety Manager----Serve as the site safety expert and champion.Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and implement follow up assessments.Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care, safety, FLIP, and compliance training programs.Labor Management ----Develops an effective team to achieve expected business results.Manages employee work schedules, assigns work as needed, communicates company messages and validates payroll.Manage hourly staff performance through yearly reviews by coaching and giving feedback.Follow PCB Values ----Put Safety First, Be Bold, Win as One, Act Like an Owner, Do Right and Bring Joy!QualificationsJob RequirementsEducation - Bachelor's degree preferredExperience - 4 years supervisory responsibility in distribution or food manufacturing; food warehousing/production operations experience in a team environment is ideal.Skills ----Thorough understanding of warehouse operations within a distribution environmentknowledge of industry and government regulationsExperience in team building, self-motivated, dependable, organized, customer service oriented, and self-sufficientFlexibility in work scheduleExcellent interpersonal skills, including listening and follow-through; excellent communication skillsAbility to operate in a high stress, dynamic environment, ability to create original correspondenceGood computer skillsManagement Skills ----Ability to develop and achieve performance goals and objectives in the area of productivity, accuracy and costSolve practical problemsRecruit, interview, train and evaluate new hiresFlexible in responding to the needs of the business in a timely mannerMust be strong at establishing priorities and obtaining resultsMaintain standards for food safety/security, people safety/security and warehouse activities/functionsRelationships ----Internal - Works with Planners (Demand, Distribution, Production, and Transportation), Quality, Supervisors, and Customer Solutions as needed.Participates as a member on cross-functional teams as required or assignedBuilds external relationships with Carriers and Customers to resolve problems and negotiate solutionsContact with suppliers/contractors to purchase materials or review servicesProblem Solving ----Evaluates staffing levels and staff utilization; recommends solutions to improving performance and productivity while balancing costs and service requirementsRecommends innovative improvements to existing systems and procedures--
