Who We Are Campus Compact for New Hampshire (CCNH) is a nonprofit higher education consortium that works to improve learning and strengthen communities by integrating service and civic responsibility throughout college life. CCNH collaborates with the New Hampshire College & University Council and other community and business partners to administer high-impact initiatives such as GEAR UP , New Hampshire Scholars , and AmeriCorps VISTA . These and other initiatives help students succeed in school while providing millions of dollars in services in areas like education, environmental sustainability, health care, poverty, food insecurity, and more. The Opportunity The NH-SFEC Program Associate is a full-time, grant-funded position that will report directly to the Project Director of the NH-SFEC, and will work directly with Program Coordinators, school districts, and community partners to implement trainings, convenings, and events related to Family Engagement across the birth-postsecondary ages centered in Dr. Karen Mapp's dual capacity model and Dr. Joyce Epstein's six types of family involvement frameworks. Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Create and maintain processes to manage program files, including service reports and grant documentation. Clerical support for regional grant activities such as coordinating supply purchases, printing, and data collection. Support the Program Coordinators in the creation and distribution of electronic and paper communications to schools, parents, and program participants. Maintain electronic files for information sharing; set-up folders, maintain calendars, and other documentation. Review purchase requests and travel requests prior to Project Director approval; collaborate with Finance department to ensure expenses are allowable, reasonable and necessary to meet program goals & objectives. Collaborate with Program Coordinators and others regarding grant management/development, and operational needs. Process, review, and submit data reports on behalf of program activities. Schedule and prepare SFEC meetings; disseminate agenda and provide onsite meeting support, such as registration and taking minutes. Represent the NH-SFEC and partner organizations at in-person and virtual events across NH. Provide event management assistance in the form of set up, coordination, and breakdown with events involving program staff and families. Position Qualifications Education required to ensure success in this position: Associate degree or 3-5 years of relevant professional experience. Desired experience required to ensure success in this position: Three years of experience providing direct services to families and/or children. Experience performing clerical and logistical duties in an office environment Event management and promotion experience Fluency in a language other than English commonly spoken in NH (Spanish, French, Nepali, Arabic, and/or Swahili). Required skills, knowledge, and abilities Proficiency working within all Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint and One Drive, and ability to operate software on a variety of platforms. Proficiency with communications and event management software such as Eventbrite, Mail Chimp, and Constant Contact. Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to multi-task efficiently. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with others. Must maintain confidentiality and protect the private nature of files and conversations; possess mature judgment and display positive attitude. A commitment to serving students, families, and staff from diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds. Capacity to multi-task and achieve deadlines on multiple ongoing projects. Demonstrated commitment to inclusively serving and working with communities and families from a diversity of background and experiences, and sensitivity needed to work respectfully across differences. License, certifications necessary Valid drivers' license Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background check. Physical requirements Ability to work within both office and remote work settings. Ability to accurately communicate and exchange information with partners, stakeholders, and/or meeting participants. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to travel independently by car and plane regionally and nationally. Environmental Conditions Routine office environment with interruptions and noise. Approximately 25% of time may consist of travel to meetings and/or program partner sites within the service area. Other regional and national travel is sometimes required. Ability to operate the following vehicles or equipment: Standard Office Equipment: computer, fax, phone, office software.
