Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB The Manufacturing Engineer will perform all engineering duties required in designing, fabricating, prototyping, and implementing engineering controls and systems for all manufacturing processes. RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and fabricate automated equipment for production. Create SolidWorks engineering assembly drawings and details for fabrication. Provide hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise. Troubleshoot manufacturing systems and equipment and provide daily leadership and support to production staffing. Specify and procure capital equipment to ensure technological advantage and competitiveness through process capability and control. Develop new manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, increase yield, and reduce downtime on the manufacturing floor. Develop effective setup reduction strategies and preventive and predictive maintenance processes to maximize equipment uptime. Advise on product and process capabilities and limitations to ensure the proper alignment between product design and process capabilities. Assist in development of protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) and execute completion of all validation documentation and qualification activities for implementation into production. Oversee the production processes and recommend efficiency and quality improvements. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering or related field EXPERIENCE : Minimum 3-5 years in a manufacturing industry, preferable medical device manufacturing environment. POSITION SKILLS : Superior computer skills in SolidWorks, Excel, MS Word. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong leadership abilities. Highly creative and innovative. Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong mechanical / hands-on skills. Competency in process I/O control, plc programming and circuit wiring. Powered by JazzHR
