Eagle Technology Group is seeking a detail-oriented Data Engineer who can map legacy data structures and processes to newly developed data structures and processes. This analyst position is focused on designing application interfaces for a new large-scale application. The key deliverables will be detailed interface data map documentation, including associated transformation requirements. Candidate needs to be very well organized and be able to communicate effectively with personnel from multiple organizations. This position is expected to be 90% remote, but candidates must be within easy commuting distance of Scott Air Force Base in O'Fallon, IL. Missing a certification for this position? Eagle TG will work with candidates that are otherwise fully qualified to help them obtain required certifications such as CompTIA Sec+, ITIL, CISSP, and other required certifications. Compensation is based on geographical location, qualifications, and experience. Responsibilities Analyzes Inbound and outbound interfaces to map external inputs and outputs to a new system's data structures. Documents interface data maps and Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) requirements. Develops interface designs ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. Analyzes legacy Oracle application interfaces to identify requirements for the new system (the new system will replace a legacy system with similar interfaces). Supports business analysis, data architecture, and engineering teams as the ETL subject matter expert. Assists Data and Functional Architects in collaborating with technical and management teams to understand requirements and define standards for how data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across the system. Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment. Requirements US Citizenship is required Able to attain DoD SECRET clearance Willing and able to attain COMPTia Security+ Certification as this is required for the position Experience with ETL methods and process Ability to map external data structures/processes to newly developed data structures and processes Be able to navigate Oracle and PostgreSQL databases unaided and develop SQL queries to interrogate the databases and data for interface requirements. Solid understanding of relational database concepts and experience working with relational databases. Able to read and understand existing PL/SQL and Java Source code Bachelor's degree in IT or related business discipline or comparable job experience Experience with IT systems requirements, analysis, and engineering Excellent organizational and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as an active member of a cross-functional team Understanding of data structures and concepts Experience with MS Office Desired Current DoD SECRET clearance Current COMPTia Security+ Knowledge of the Agile and Scrum processes Experience with US Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) or Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) business or C2 systems About Eagle TG Headquartered in New Braunfels, TX, Eagle TG is focused on delivering enterprise application architecture, project management, and telecommunications solutions to federal, state, local government, and commercial clients.
