Description:
We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. Responsibilities: • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues• Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings• Arrange law office activity such as drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers• Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits• Assist in interviewing and screening prospective clients• Follow up with clients• Collect pertinent information about client cases and contact insurance companies to obtain insurance information• General knowledge of the medical field and insurance policies Qualifications: • At least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting• Completion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferred• Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills, and time-management skills• Strong oral and written communication skills• Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired About Company: At Lulich & Attorneys, P.A., we are a dynamic and rapidly expanding law firm with two thriving offices in Indian River County.
