Healthcare EDI Product Owner (Onsite, Hybrid, or Remote) We have an immediate need for a contract Healthcare EDI Product Owner to join a leading dental business support organization. The Healthcare EDI Product Owner will be responsible for owning and managing the product vision for our high visibility project focused on optimizing our revenue cycle operation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure our products meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry. Recent Healthcare EDI expertise is a must! Location: Irvine, CA. Onsite is preferred but will consider hybrid or remote working Pacific hours. This job expects to pay about $50 - 65 per hour plus benefits. What You Will Do: Partner with business stakeholders, particularly those focused on revenue cycle management, to understand their needs and translate them into clear product requirements aimed at streamlining and optimizing workflows. Possess a deep understanding of EDI standards (e.g., HIPAA EDI X12) used in the healthcare environment. Work collaboratively with developers and analysts to define user stories, acceptance criteria, and product roadmaps using Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). Oversee the ETL of our EDI data into our Enterprise data warehouse (Snowflake), to ensure that data is properly normalized and organized to be usable by downstream processes. Possess a strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data governance best practices. Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of healthcare data, enabling faster claims processing and reduced denials. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting open communication and continuous improvement. What Gets You The Job: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of experience in product ownership or a related role. In-depth knowledge of EDI standards used in healthcare (e.g., HIPAA EDI X12) – MUST HAVE Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance principles. Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus Experience with AI in a healthcare setting is a plus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
