The candidate will provide advice to clients on intellectual property matters, privacy and data protection laws in the U.S. and India. They will draft governing documents and key commercial contracts with third parties, ensuring compliance with laws of both countries. Additionally, the attorney will advise clients on international and US consumer privacy rules, drafting Privacy Policies and Terms of Use. Experience with drafting various commercial contracts including SAAS Agreements, IP Licensing Agreements, and MSAs is required. Duties:Provide advice to clients on intellectual property matters, privacy, and data protection laws in the U.S. and India.Draft governing documents and key commercial contracts with third parties, ensuring compliance with laws of both countries.Advise clients on the application of international and US consumer privacy rules.Draft Privacy Policies and Terms of Use for clients in the U.S., India, and elsewhere.Draft Intellectual Property and Commercial Contracts including SAAS Agreements, IP Licensing Agreements, and MSAs.Handle End-User Licensing Agreements, SOWs, Service Order Forms, and Channel Partnership Agreements for US and Indian clients. Requirements:Juris Doctorate in Law.Completion of an internship or Research Assistantship in Commercial Law or Data Protection and Privacy Law.Licensed to practice law by the State Bar of California. Experience:5-7 years of experience in commercial law, with a focus on intellectual property, privacy, and data protection matters. Skills:Strong understanding of intellectual property and privacy laws in the U.S. and India.Experience drafting various commercial contracts.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Education:Juris Doctorate in Law.Certifications:State Bar of California licensure.
