Job Overview:The Personal Injury Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling personal injury cases, including negotiating settlements, attending depositions and hearings, preparing clients for case phases, and reviewing medical records. They will also network with attorneys, doctors, and clients. Duties:Handle personal injury cases from inceptionNegotiate pre-suit casesAttend depositions, hearings, and mediationsTake depositions and prepare clients for all case phasesReview medical recordsAnswer discovery requestsReview closing statements for accuracyTake cases to trialNetwork with attorneys, doctors, and clients Requirements:Florida Bar admission required2-6 years of experience as a plaintiff's personal injury attorney or experience working for an insurance company, State Attorney's office, or comfort in the courtroom Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Skills:Strong attention to detailExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to negotiate and advocate for clientsComfortable in a courtroom settingAbility to review medical records and understand complex legal issues in personal injury cases
