POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Director – Multi-Chapter Territory position is a member of the national leadership team. This full-time position is responsible for the direct oversight and management of the Central Ohio and Southwest Ohio Chapters. ABOUT A KID AGAIN: A Kid Again fosters hope, happiness, and healing for kids with life-threatening conditions and their families. We do this through our Adventures – cost-free, care-free visits to amusement parks, sporting events, museums, holiday parties, and much more. We are condition agnostic – any child, birth to age 20, with a life-threatening condition can enroll for free with A Kid Again. And we serve their whole family including their parents and siblings, so that they can all take a time out from illness. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: FUND DEVELOPMENT. Collaborate with the national office and other chapters to cultivate, build and support national corporate partnerships. Where appropriate, collaborate with the national office development team on a signature fundraising event in your territory. Provide oversight of multiple high level fundraising events across multiple chapters. This includes ensuring net revenue goals are achieved and event programming highlights the organization's work. To ensure on-going stewardship and communications, maintain accurate notes of opportunities and actions on assigned donors in the donor database, Raiser’s Edge/NXT. Meet budgeted revenue expectations by building and maintaining an active donor portfolio of individuals, companies and foundations. This includes prospecting, cultivating and securing major gifts from new and renewed donors. BUDGET MANAGEMENT. Submit budget forecasts as needed, while providing regular communication and updates to any successes or challenges that may impact budget outcomes. Prepare and submit annual budgets for the chapters, with the engagement of appropriate team members, both Advisory boards and the National office. This individual is responsible for the revenue and expenses set forth in the budgets. ADVISORY BOARD MANAGEMENT. Recruit high-level, diverse members of the communities served to strengthen both chapter Advisory Boards and their fundraising efforts. Advisory board members of multiple chapters should have opportunities to engage and elevate each other through the work being done in multiple communities. STAFF MANAGEMENT. Provide leadership to teams of staff in multiple chapter locations, providing opportunities for collaboration and fellowship. Under your leadership, staff members should have annual goals, professional development opportunities, open lines of communication for feedback, and annual performance reviews. BRAND & COMMUNICATIONS . In partnership with the national marketing team, ensure that each chapter’s social media accounts, website landing pages, and all blast email communications are on brand and reflect the voice and messaging of the organization. Ensure signature programs are delivered utilizing branded materials and signage. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. Serve as the face and spokesperson for the organization within each of the chapter’s territories. This includes identifying media and public speaking opportunities where the A Kid Again story can be shared. MULTI-LOCATION STRATEGY. In partnership with the National office, develop strategies to ensure smooth transition from individualized chapters under separate leadership to a multi-chapter leadership model. Through the process, ensure that multiple chapters have an opportunity to enhance their existing strengths while identifying and developing plans for areas of opportunity. BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Candidates being considered will have at least three years of experience with success in the following areas. Strategically growing an organization or chapter with financial sustainability. Strong management skills. Major gift fundraising. Prospecting, cultivating and stewarding relationships. Developing and engaging committees of high-level individuals from the community. Ability to engage and empower volunteers. Strong budget management skills and acumen. NECESSARY SKILLS: Requires good communication, relationship building and organizational skills. Strong computer skills, particularly with experience working in Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud and Microsoft Office. Adobe and/or Canva experience a plus.
