Pillar Ministries exists to reach people with the love, truth, and freedom found in Christ through four main modes of outreach: Media, Education, Churches, and Missions.Pillar Ministries currently operates ministries in the following locations: Zarephath, New Jersey (Headquarters/Church/Radio) Los Angeles, California (Church) Pacifica, California (Church/School) Cincinnati, Ohio (Radio) Westminster, Colorado (School/Radio) About the Executive Director of Missions: The goal of the Missions Director will be to lead the Missions Ministry with creativity and heart, by developing and communicating a fresh vision for the ministry. They will enhance current mission programming and initiatives and increase the visibility of the Missions Ministry through active promotion and consistent communication. The Executive Director of Missions's Responsibilities Include: The effective Executive Director of Missions will:Manage and lead the ministry staff, drive the vision to build excitement, and be a key player behind the scenes, making sure the administrative side is running smoothly.Build strong relationships and connections with the staff, church, community, and mission field.Organize the leadership structure of how the mission field operates and provide oversight. Oversee the Missions website to make certain it has up-to-date information and can receive donations online.Develop a marketing and fundraising strategy.Facilitate communication of emergency needs from the mission field branches for prayer and funds.Develop and grow annual fundraising campaigns. Manage database of Missions donors past and present.Coordinate Annual Missions Fundraiser.Develop a comprehensive communications plan to provide further awareness of Missions within the organization.Provide oversight of financial planning and budgeting.Coordinate with Mission Field Directors on their planning and reporting.Facilitate communications between Pillar missionaries and Pillar churches, and Missions donors.Observe the field and bring back stories to share.Focus on Liberia - churches, schools, and clinics.This position includes travel (domestically and internationally - 30-50%). What You Bring: The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Executive Director of Missions: Education A bachelor’s degree is highly desired. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred. Experience Preference will be given to candidates with over ten years of experience in missions that includes leadership experience in ministry. Personal Characteristics Demonstrate a personal faith in the Lord Jesus.Be spiritually mature.Exhibit a sure sense of call to missions.Practice a vital faith that seeks to encourage the saved and redeem the lost.Demonstrate leadership skills as outlined in the Bible.Possess strong interpersonal relationship skills.Be a team player.Be comfortable with public speaking.Exhibit passion for the work at hand.Demonstrate clear and strategic thinking.Practice humility and hospitality in the workplace and the home. What it's Like to Live in Zarephath, New Jersey: Franklin Township is a township in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2020 United States Census, the township's population was 68,364. The park offers many recreational activities, including picnicking, hiking, biking, fishing, paddle boating, golf, and tennis. The park also offers a three-acre leash-free dog area, a 1.4-mile fitness parcourse, paddleboat rentals, an 18-hole putting course, an 18-hole championship Spooky Brook Golf Course, three stocked fishing ponds, softball fields, tennis center, playground, nature trail, a five-acre perennial garden, Rudolf W. van der Goot Rose Garden, an accredited All-America Rose Selections (AARS) display garden, and the Fragrance and Sensory Garden, designed to be of special interest to visitors who are visually or physically impaired. In 2009, Franklin Township appeared on Newsmax magazine's list of the "Top 25 Most Uniquely American Cities and Towns."
