Medical Technologist/Technician - ASCP Certified

Description:
Position Overview: As a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician Generalist, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating diseases. You will work in a fast-paced environment utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology to provide accurate and timely results. Responsibilities: Perform routine and complex laboratory tests on various biological specimens, including blood, urine, and body fluids, using automated equipment and manual techniques. Analyze test results and report findings accurately to healthcare providers in a timely manner. Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper calibration and quality control measures are followed. Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with advancements in laboratory science and technology. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field for Medical Technologists; Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology for Medical Laboratory Technicians. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a recognized accrediting agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT) preferred. Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory setting preferred. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
