They will handle file review, legal analysis, research, drafting, and representation of clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and depositions.Duties:Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of actionPerform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefsMaintain an annual billable amount of 1950 hoursRegularly represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositionsDraft and respond to discovery requestsRetain and collaborate with expert witnessesPrepare for trials and attend as necessaryIt may require some travelRequirements:2-5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defenseExperience handling civil cases from inception to resolutionProficient in taking and defending depositions, including 30(b)(6) and expert witnessesAbility to draft and argue substantive motions, attend hearings and participate in negotiations and mediationsJ.D. degree from an ABA-approved law schoolAdmitted to practice in the state of MS; admission in other states a plusSkills:Superior analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong research abilitiesExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to self-manage and work effectively in a team environmentPrompt responsiveness to email and phone inquiriesExcellent client skills and telephone mannerEducation/Certifications:J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law schoolAdmission to practice law in the state of MSBenefits Offered:Innovative financial incentive bonus programProactive support and training for marketing objectivesExcellent Benefits, including 401k matchExceptional growth and advancement opportunities
