Position Summary: As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory management processes to ensure efficient stock levels, minimize costs, and support the overall supply chain operations. Your expertise in data analysis, forecasting, and inventory optimization will contribute to maintaining optimal inventory levels while meeting customer demand and organizational goals. This role will be conducting cycle counts and resolving discrepancies in cycle counts. Primary duties and Responsibilities will be: Data Analysis and Forecasting Collect, analyze, and interpret inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and seasonality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and insights for forecasting accuracy. Inventory Management Manage Cycle counting. Monitor inventory levels and adjust reorder points to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstock situations. Review and analyze inventory turnover rates, aging stock, and slow-moving items to recommend appropriate actions. Implement inventory replenishment strategies and reorder policies to support production and sales goals. Reporting and Communication Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate inventory performance metrics, trends, and insights to key stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams, such as purchasing, sales, and production, to ensure alignment on inventory goals and strategies. Process Improvement Identify process inefficiencies and propose solutions to streamline inventory management workflows. Implement best practices for inventory control, accuracy, and record-keeping to reduce errors and discrepancies. Vendor and Supplier Management Work closely with Purchasing to ensure accurate and timely delivery of inventory. Technology and Tools Utilize inventory management software/Fishbowl/JDE and tools to track and manage inventory levels, orders, and replenishments. Leverage data analytics and advanced Excel skills to create models and forecasts for better inventory decision-making. We believe the successful candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (preferred). Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) are a plus. 2-5 years of experience as an Inventory Analyst, Demand Planner, or related role. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to work with large datasets and translate insights into actionable strategies. Proficiency in using inventory management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in inventory analysis. Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory optimization techniques, and industry trends. Success Measures: Thirty (30) days: Ability to review and resolve inventory discrepancies. Understand the flow of inventory processes through operations. Six (6) Months: Participate in problem solving sessions to understand underlying inventory issues. Lead weekly inventory meetings to update team on inventory outlook. One (1) Year: Work cross functionally to understand pain points with an eye towards continuous improvement. Host regularly occurring inventory training sessions amongst team to empower inventory accuracy throughout the organization. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The annual salary for this position ranges from $62,000 in our lowest market up to $68,000 in our highest market, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. The pay for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
