Internal Medicine would be the perfect place for you!VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is looking to expand its Internal Medicine service and is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician to join its team!Being an Internal Medicine Technician:Internal Medicine specialists are often considered the puzzle solvers of Veterinary Medicine. VCA AVCCs Internal Medicine service is equipped to deal with whatever problem a patient bringsno matter how common or rare, or how simple or complex. Our Internal Medicine service diagnoses and treats the many serious diseases that can affect our patients' internal body systems.Our IM Technicians better understand body systems and the disease process, learn advanced diagnostic testing, provide excellent patient care, and treat patients with cutting-edge techniques. The responsibilities of the Technicians and Veterinary Assistants are to provide support to the Internists and to be part of a collaborative environment to provide thorough patient care. Our Technicians are a vital reason we can help patients feel better and why pet parents feel a little more at ease because their family members are being cared for with great medicine and warm hearts.Duties will include:Anesthesia monitoring.Collecting patient histories.Performing physical exams.Venipuncture/IVC placement.Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.Assisting in diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy, rhinoscopy, and fluoroscopy.Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services.Key points in regarding our hospital's commitment to professional development and employee well-being:Technician Training and Development Coordinator: The Technician Training and Development Coordinators, works closely with all Technicians and Assistants to provide aid in development, help set goals, and push our team to greatness.
