Job DescriptionSenior AccountantMint Cannabis, a fully licensed multi-state cannabis operator, is seeking a full time Senior Accountant.The individual in this role will perform the daily, weekly, and monthly coding of business transactions, aswell as directly prepare month end close. This individual should recommend ways to improve internalaccounting processes that align with both internal efficiencies and reporting needs of the C-Suite,lenders, and investors.Who you are: You have a sense of urgency You have a desire to improve processes You love analysis and research projects You’re self-driven and goal oriented You’re a master of communication and collaboration You consistently execute deadlines while navigating through a fast-paced environment You’re smart, innovative, and see your ideas through to the finish line The individual in this role is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely recording of general ledgeractivity including preparation of journal entries, review of P&L for unusual fluctuations, and preparationof month end close supporting schedules. The Senior Accountant should be able to identify and correctgeneral errors/oversights in the monthly reporting without substantial assistance.General Duties: Preparation of Daily Cash Entries and Bank Reconciliations Complete month end close and all related journal entries Review accounts payable aging and ensure records are up to date Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis Reconcile intercompany balances Maintenance of Month End supporting schedules Identify opportunities for process improvement Skills/ Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is desired, but strong corporate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree Minimum of 3 years of general ledger and month end close or related experience is required Minimum of 3 years of experience in a multi-entity organization with substantial intercompany transactions Must be proficient in Excel, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online Prior cannabis industry experience preferred Location Requirements : This is not a remote position; candidate must be willing and able to work in-person at our Tempe locationSalary and summary of Employment Benefits: $60,000-70,000/year, dependent upon education andexperiencePowered by JazzHR
