Come join Gallo's Turner Road Vintners Quality Assurance team We are hiring seasonal Lab Technicians for the 2024 season. In this role, you will perform routine physical and chemical analysis of grapes, grape products, alcoholic beverages, water, and other related materials. With the guidance of our experienced team, you will observe the departments safety practices, procedures, and quality system, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and excellence. If you are passionate about science, dedicated to accuracy, and committed to excellence, come spend a season in wine and analytical chemistry What You Will Do :Responsible for all sanitation inspections and microbiology analysis:Performs the routine analysis utilizing appropriate distillation, titrametric, colorimetric and instrumental methods supporting the grape harvest.:Operates, calibrates and maintains laboratory instruments such as an auto:titrator, refractometer, density meter, ion specific electrodes, gas chromatographs, high performance liquid chromatographs, infrared analyzers, atomic absorption spectrometer, balances, turbidimeters, and other instruments as required to perform duties.:Receives rush samples, prioritizes samples and tests, analyzes samples and reports results in a timely manner as specified.:Enters test results into the laboratory information management system in a timely manner.:Prepares chemical solutions used in the laboratory and disposes of chemical wastes according to guidelines. What You Will Need: :Bachelors or Associates degree with a minimum of 12 units of completed college levelchemistry or biology courses with labs; OR In the process of and will obtain a Bachelor's orAssociate's degree when Harvest begins (July/August) with a minimum of 12 units of completed:college level chemistry or biology courses with labs; OR High School Diploma or State:issuedequivalency certificate, plus 3 years of Laboratory Technician experience reflecting increasinglevels of responsibility OR High School Diploma or State:issued equivalency certificate, plus 3:Harvest Seasons as a Gallo Laboratory Assistant.:Required to possess strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.:Required to lift and carry cases of product that can weigh up to 50 pounds.:Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtimeand weekends when necessary.:Required to conduct work at extreme heights.:Required to be at least 21 years of age.:Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training,meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5 ofthe time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel:requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.:Required to be 18 years or older.
