See what its like to work at GROWMARK:youtu.be/CSVMnKCySsY PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Accomplish tasks in a safe and productive manner providing a positive construction experience for our patrons. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and machinery. Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs. Position steel beams to support machines and equipment, using blueprints and manuals to determine work procedures. Move machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Signals crane operator to place assemblies and align units. Levels, plumbs and establishes centerlines, using straight edges, levels, and transits. Assemble machines and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundations or other structures, using proper tools and equipment. Replaces defective machine parts or adjusts clearances and alignment of moving parts. Inserts shims, adjusts tension on nuts and bolts, and / or positions parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts. Operate vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, passenger vehicles, etc. Practice proper construction methods with on the job training. Ability to properly use hand and power tools, climb ladders, and measure and square projects without direct supervision in the construction of commercial or farm buildings and/or grain systems. Interprets construction manuals, and material lists. Able to use necessary equipment to complete projects: : Forklifts : Backhoe : Trencher : Scissor Lift : Various power and other operating tools Complete jobs in a timely, safe manner. Perform necessary maintenance on trucks and equipment. Keep clean and safe job sites. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Attend company and department meetings and training programs. Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 year or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of construction skills. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
