The ideal candidate will support the Fire and Security Services department by providing emergency medical and firefighting services, as well as supporting the security functions for the AM/NS Calvert site. The Basics: :High School Diploma or GED Certificate: Active/valid/current Driver's License : Alabama Professional Standards Fire Fighter I and II certification: Current Nationally Registered or State of Alabama EMT:Basiccertification: One year of industrial Fire Fighter experience minimum or two years of municipal Fire Fighter experience minimum: Comfortable with tablet and interactive app use:Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint) The Extras: : Certified as a Technician in the following:stylelist:style:type:circle:: Hazardous Materials: High Angle/Rope Rescue: Confined Space: Structural Collapse: Trench Rescue TRAITS TO BE SUCCESSFUL :Demonstrates strong decision:making, analytical, and problem:solving skills: Gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity: Makes sense of complex, high quality, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems: Rebounds from setbacks and adversities when facing difficult situations: Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with the organizational goals: Consistently achieves results, even under tough circumstances WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING :Provides emergency services : Drives and operates emergency response vehicles:Selects proper firefighting tools and equipment to control and extinguish fires: Performs search and rescue operations: Utilizes appropriate safety equipment, to mitigate hazardous materials incidents: Performs extrication operations as needed: Performs inspections and preventive maintenance on fire suppression systems: Responsible for delivering training sessions as assigned by the training division/captain: Perform various security activities throughout the plant : Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
