Live and work by the beach this Summer! Seeking an experienced hot line cook for a busy seasonal restaurant on Block Island, Rhode Island. We offer an fun and professional working environment and excellent pay for the right candidate. Housing is available. Responsibilities: • Interact with visitors, vendors, and associates while maintaining a professional and positive attitude• Establish a system of food stations and stock them with all of the necessary ingredients for the shift• Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations• Guarantee that quality food is supplied, by adhering to specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products• Grill, broil or saute menu items according to standard recipes and presentation specifications Qualifications: • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate• We prefer some experience working in the food service industry• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers• Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail• Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly About Company: Come one, come all.
