Safety Manager The Safety Manager at Fairchild Freight plays a crucial role in upholding the safety and regulatory compliance standards within our transportation operations. This position requires a seasoned professional with a comprehensive understanding of FMCSA and DOT regulations and adept organizational skills to manage compliance efforts and mitigate potential risks effectively. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation compliance, showcasing a robust grasp of industry regulations and standards. Extensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations, particularly driver qualification, service hours, and safety protocols. Possess a deadline-driven mentality with exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus. Prior experience with fleet management and tracking software systems, such as LME and Samsara. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with advanced computer skills (including typing) to manage data and communication effectively. Ability to make independent decisions within the job parameters, demonstrating initiative and critical thinking capabilities. A self-starter mindset, capable of taking proactive measures and working autonomously to accomplish tasks and address compliance-related issues.
