Click here to learn more about our full benefits package JOB SUMMARY Working under the supervision of the Radiology Director and the Staff Radiologist, the Radiology Tech I performs a variety of diagnostic procedures utilizing all aspects of diagnostic equipment. This position is responsible for scheduling and preparation of patient for examination. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Obtains appropriate medical history before patient examination. Prepares patients for their examinations. Performs appropriate diagnostic procedures as ordered. Assists radiologist when performing special procedures and fluoroscopy. Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment rooms. Maintains adequate stock of supplies in weekly assigned room. Properly makes exposures to produce imaging of diagnostic quality. Performs appropriate modality procedures per protocols. Performs PACS function and burn CD's. Performs exams per department routine. Ensures that expenditures for job related activities are within budgetary constraints. Maintains confidentiality of all personnel and patient care and relations information. Actively participates in Customer/ Guest Relations and Mandatory Education programs. Review of patient records for information needed for procedures (i.e. labs, previous procedures etc.) Obtains and verifies appropriate physician order. Utilizes HIS and ED computer charting systems to obtain and chart pertinent patient information for transportation and exam purposes. Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices. Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. This list is non-exhaustive. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma with graduation from a School of Radiology Technology. Licensure Certified/ licensed by the State of Wyoming and ARRT.
