Job Title: Head Start Teacher Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Start Teacher to join our team. The Head Start Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children in our Head Start program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education. Responsibilities: Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters children's self-esteem and encourages their natural curiosity and love of learning Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress and use this information to plan and adjust instruction as needed Communicate regularly with parents and families to keep them informed of their child's progress and to involve them in their child's learning Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure that the Head Start program is meeting the needs of all children and families Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's attendance, progress, and other important information Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in a classroom setting- Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff- Strong organizational and time management skills- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all timesWe are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply. Requirements Minimum Required: Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and enrolled and attending a program to obtain a baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education. Desired/Preferred Education: BA/BS ; or MA/MS in Early Childhood Education or related field with 21+ semester hours in ECE/Child Development State mandated 45-hour coursework completion or ability to complete within established timeframes; One (1) year experience working in an early childhood setting with a diverse population of preschool children, ages 3-5.
