The department operates under the core values of integrity, honesty,respect, courage, compassion, professionalism, accountability, and service.Applications to take the test for the position of full-time, entry-level police officer arebeing accepted on behalf of the Borough of Jefferson Hills, Civil Service Commission.Applications will be accepted until 3:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the JeffersonHills Police Department, 925 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025, 412-655-XXXX.Jefferson Hills continues to be one of the fastest growing and progressive suburbancommunities in the south hills. The Borough of Jefferson Hills is located 13 miles southof the City of Pittsburgh, covers 16.9 square miles, and has a population of around13,000 residents. It is an economically diverse community with excellent schools andhas been recognized as one of the best communities to raise a family. The policedepartment consists of 21 full-time police officers, with opportunities for officers toparticipate in specialized programs and assignments. Salary range: $62,795 (1st yearPatrolman) - $107,798 (Top rate Patrolman in 2025, the final year of the currentCollective Bargaining Agreement) with an excellent benefit package.Information concerning minimum eligibility requirements is contained in the applicationpackage.
