The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, focusing on bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance defense matters.Duties:Handle bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance defense matters.Manage civil cases through trial, including taking depositions, oral argument, and hearing attendance.Negotiate settlements and report to clients.Provide legal advice and representation to clients in insurance defense matters.Conduct legal research and analysis.Requirements:7+ years of experience in insurance defense.Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred.Highly proficient in handling civil cases through trial.Motivated, self-starters need only apply.Currently licensed to practice law in SC, additional licensure in other States is a plus.Education Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admission to the South Carolina State Bar.Additional licensure in other States is a plus.Skills:Strong litigation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong negotiation skills.Attention to detail and analytical thinking.Job Location: Columbia, SCBenefits offered:401(k)Dental InsuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insurance
