Join Our Team IBEW Local 659 Bid Board Bid Posted 12/12/2022. Will close 12/19/2022. Shift: M:F Location: Medford, Oregon Position awarded in accordance with collective bargaining agreement. Responsibilities A Journeyman Station Meter and Relay Technician is a Journeyman qualified toinstall, maintain, adjust, test and repair all substation and generating stationmeters, relay and control equipment, such as meters, governors, solid stateexciters, computerized controls systems, and may work on other apparatus withintheir qualifications involved with the operation and maintenance of the Company'sfacilities. The Employee shall normally work under the direction of a Lead StationMeter and Relay Technician or Senior Station Meter and Relay Technician,however, when working in a single journeyman assignment, no upgrade to LeadTechnician is warranted. The Employee must have a working knowledge of allrelay and control schemes sufficient to enable them to diagnose and correct troubles on station meter, relay and remote control equipment, includingsupervisory and telemetering. They shall be qualified to and will prepare reportsand records incidental to the work. The Employee shall also be responsible formeter, relay, and control equipment, and electrical control system, includingvehicles, tools, test equipment, spare parts and supplies provided by the Company. Requirements : A high school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.: Has successfully completed an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent program.: 4+ years experience in the meter and relay trade.: Must pass a pre:qualifying skills test.: Good driving record.: Physical exam required. Preferences : 5+ years experience as a Journeyman Meter and Relay Technician.: Class A CDL.
