About Beaumont With a population of more than 118,000, Beaumont ,Texas, is located in the Gulf Coast region of the United States, on the Neches River, about 85 miles east of Houston, the nations fourth largest city. What role you will play in our team We are seeking Senior Chemical Process Engineers to join us supporting either Naphtha Reforming or Distillation technology at the Beaumont Refinery. Our Senior Chemical Process Engineers (Complex Engineers) play a pivotal role in the successful operation of our plants and are responsible for initiating and leading improvements to unit performance in safety, production, and reliability in a dynamic team environment. You will think strategically, execute thoughtfully, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations. In this role, you will serve as a senior process technical resource, providing technical and operational expertise to address complex processes across business teams. Complex engineers serve primarily to set longer term visons for unit performance and troubleshooting in addition to supporting day:to:day activities. What you will do stylemargin:left:80.0px::Serve as the technical leader on the business team by: stylemargin:left:40.0px::Mentoring less experienced engineers on design practices, unit health monitoring, and troubleshooting:Provide off:hours support of abnormal and non:routine operations, including unit Turnarounds:Aiding in the development of long term vision and strategy for product line improvements:Organizing and designing plant testing and product trials:Serve as a senior resource either serving as or working with supervisors on the team to set clear objectives, and ensure priorities are aligned for the technical team
