Join our team at American Aluminum Extrusion! We are a dynamic and driven aluminum extruder company with significant development plans. Don't miss the opportunity to be a part of our fast-paced and dedicated team. As the General Accountant, you will be part of the accounting department. Join us in this critical role and help us maintain our high standards of excellence. The following are the essential job functions: Enter vendor invoices into the system, including coding invoices to the proper general ledger account, and reconciling any discrepancies. Communicate with vendors on invoice discrepancies and return calls for payment status. Add new vendors to the accounting system after verification of the appropriate paperwork. Send out monthly spending reports to managers and assist with cost analytics. Complete filing and documentation as required. Cross-train, learn, and support other functions or processes as required. Required Skills: Honest and fiscally responsible. Basic knowledge of accounting practices. Proven ability to multi-task and work at a consistent pace. Excellent oral and written communication skills. High attention to detail and problem-solving and analytical skills. Computer literate. Education/Experience Requirements: A minimum of two years of experience in accounting preferred. Job Requirements and Working Conditions: Able to work in an office environment with extensive time on the computer. Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
