How You'll Help Transform Healthcare: 16:week training program, 40 hours per week, every 3rd weekend with the following start dates: Monday, March 25, 2024 Monday, April 22, 2024 Monday, May 20, 2024 Monday, June 17, 2024 : carilionclinic/pharmacy:technician:in:training:programoverview: Must submit an updated resume and a personal statement (approximately 250 words) describing interest in the program. Please upload these documents during the application process.: Must pass required background checks.: Demonstrate proficiency with the English language (reading, writing, and speaking) with an assessment completed during the interview process.: Demonstrate math proficiency with an assessment completed during the interview process.: Be eligible for registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee within the Commonwealth of Virginia : per Board of Pharmacy Regulations; and register prior to the start date.:Must pass the national certification exam within 9 months of program completion.: Interested applicants are encouraged ASAP : as rolling interviews will be conducted. The Pharmacy Technician:in:Training works under the functional supervision of a Lead Technician and Pharmacist to provide services to Pharmacy customers. The Pharmacy Technician:in:Training supports the Pharmacist in providing Pharmaceutical Care. The main areas of responsibility include one or more of the following: Medication Distribution, Sterile/Non:sterile Product Preparation, Inventory Control, Secretarial, and Control Drug Management. Licensure, certification, and/or registration:Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician is required within 9 months of hire. Registration with state board of pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee. Other Minimum Qualifications:Familiarity (including strengths, dosage forms, and uses) with a large number of medications. Attention to detail and accuracy. Must have basic computer skills. Basic mathematical and logistical problem solving skills.Must be able to effectively budget time, work efficiently and accurately, and follow procedures with minimum supervision.IV Admixture technicians must complete a course of instruction in sterile product preparation and demonstrate competency. All technicians must complete an Orientation Competency. Addendum for ASHP:Accredited Program. Candidates must: demonstrate proficiency with the English language (reading, writing and speaking) with an assessment completed during the interview, demonstrate math proficiency with an assessment completed during the interview, submit a personal statement (approximately 250 words) describing interest in the program as part of the initial application for the position, be eligible for registration as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee with the state board of pharmacy.
