Orbital ATK has an opening for a Principal Software Engineer in Chandler, AZ. US Citizenship is required. Active Secret Clearance is preferred. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for development of client/server application software for distributed architecture systems including Graphical User Interface (GUI), as well as, real:time simulations and workstation device drivers for the Ground Stations and Simulations software group. This position requires the ability to quickly understand the requirements, design and implementation of a large repository of existing software and hardware for a program in progress. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple engineering disciplines to understand system level requirements and implementations and effectively plan and lead a team to on time delivery of quality ground products. Education and Experience Requirements:* Requires Bachelor's in Engineering/Computer Science and 7 years or Masters in Engineering/Computer Science and 5 years or PhD and 2 years.* Object Oriented C++ software development, multithreading, application development on Linux platform preferred Java application development* Familiarity with DOORS requirements management system, Rational Synergy and Change and Rhapsody Software technical leadership or project management experience Position may be filled one level lower.
