Don't forget to take a look at our comprehensive benefits!SUMMARYUtilizing a team approach, this position is responsible for supporting the operation of each facility in North America. Duties include ensuring and improving safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and positive employee relations using the principles of TPS, and other strategies outlined by the Company and each facilities' directives. The assistant manager will be responsible for supporting the team in overseeing and enhancing the operations of our production plants in North America. To assist Managers in each facility providing leadership, supervision, and coaching their subordinates, while maintaining overall operations and improvement of the department/each facility. To manage daily operations and support activities to expand future business. To analyze and correct problems that arise, support associate's growth, and to coordinate activities and support customer needs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist in conducting regular assessments and evaluations of the production plants to identify areas for improvement and optimization. * Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. * Support in analyzing data and performance metrics to track the progress of operational enhancements and identify areas for further improvement. * Assist in coordinating and communicating with plant managers and staff to ensure alignment with operational goals and initiatives. * Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs and resources to support the continuous improvement of operational processes. * Support the team in conducting regular site visits to observe operations and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.Assists Manager with the following duties and responsibilities: * Directs initiatives for an effective safety program that meets OSHA and company expectations. * Support OHSMS activities of each facility and report back to TAI. * Monitors targets for quality performance and implements improvements. Supports development of standard operating procedures. * Supports training and development initiatives intended to generate an effective succession plan for personnel. * Supports developing strategy with Department to develop annual Hoshin. Schedules internal and external audits and assists with closure of non-confirming findings. * Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities. Contributes to the organization through others and their specific technical expertise. Other duties may be assigned.
