SummaryThe Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hematology:Oncology is seeking a candidate for an Assistant or Associate Professor rank to provide quality care to the community with a focus on hematology conditions. Job DutiesScope of practice: This position is for a faculty member with interest in hematology. Clinical duties may include: :Manage outpatient and/or inpatient care for designated patients in a tertiary hospital setting. Inpatient attending time includes weekends.:Education and supervision of trainees including fellows, residents, and advanced practice practitioners.:Perform procedures (bone marrow) on patients as indicated.:Serve as consultant for Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center physicians at our network of community hospitals. Clinical or basic science research in hematology is expected to be a large portion of the position and will be discussed with Section leadership during the application process. Minimum requirements :M.D. or equivalent degree.:Board certified or board eligible for Pediatric Hematology:Oncology boards.:Prior to employment start date must obtain Texas Medical License and Drug Enforcement Administration registration.
