The Florida PALM Project (the Project) is an enterprise project to replace the State of Florida's legacy accounting, payroll, and cash management systems, using an enterprise resource planning solution. The Department of Financial Services (DFS) is leading this statewide initiative, which impacts stakeholders and users of the State's financial data including all State agencies. Who are we? To learn more about the Florida PALM Project, visit our website at myfloridacfo/floridapalm SPECIAL NOTES: Four (4) years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science is required. A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (i.e., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science) may substitute for the required experience. Additional requirement: : Four (4) years of experience in State of Florida accounting/ledger management and financial reporting. Preference: : Four (4) years of experience in accounting for or management of the following State financial management processes: preparing financial accounting schedules and reports, analyzing, and reconciling financial data, recording and/or adjusting accounting entries to appropriately classify receivables, payables, revenue, assets, cash, grants, payroll, disbursements, contracts, and projects. : Experience in requirements gathering, data analysis, design, development, testing and/or implementation of financial management system(s).: Experience working in team environments (i.e., as a leader or as a member).: Experience performing business analysis functions, including working with subject matter experts, business users, or stakeholders to gather information, document expectations, and develop the desired outcome. The annual salary range for this position is 75, : 90, . Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle. This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
