Learn More About Our Company Job Purpose Manage and ensure the purchasing of materials, services, and/or equipment for the assigned purchasing portfolio, within the set procurement policies and guidelines, to ensure an uninterrupted and timely supply at optimum cost within specifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reviews customer orders on a daily basis:Contact potential vendors, perform reference checks, review quotations and evaluate each purchase requisition for the most appropriate methods of procurement:Review purchase orders for accuracy:Establish priorities for assigned commodities with key vendors and ensure priorities are maintained:Maintain effective communication with both internal and external customers:Interface with all levels of management both internally and externally:Continuously strive to reduce the cost of assigned commodities:Interact with engineering department to assist in the sourcing of materials, with respect to cost, quality, and availability of materials:Generate reports per specified processes that measure key buyer performance metrics Qualifications Minimum :2:3+ years experience in a similar position:At minimum High School Diploma, preferred Associates or bachelors degree in procurement or a related field:Knowledge of software programs, including MS Office, etc. Preferred :Foreign language is a plus, English a must:A proactive approach to problem:solving with strong decision:making skills.:Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast:paced quickly changing environment.:Knowledge of MRP and ERP:2:4 year college degree or higher in business or related field General Job Requirementsstylemargin:top:0.0;margin:bottom:0.0::This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
