JOB DESCRIPTION: Summary/Objective As the Warehouse/Logistics Supervisor at North Star Ice Equipment, you will be responsible for managing our warehouse operations and overseeing logistics coordination. Your primary focus will be on inventory management, ensuring the accuracy of our inventory system, and optimizing warehouse processes to meet the demands of our business. Logistics and Freight Coordination 30% Inventory Management & Control 40% Warehouse Support 30% Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using an ERP system. Achieves balance by managing task priorities from multiple sources. Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance logistical operations. Obtains shipping rate quotes, coordinates with sales team, and executes timely delivery on orders. Coordinates with Shipping and Parts Sales to fulfill orders with non-stock line items. Assists in shipment of orders as required to ensure timely delivery of new equipment and replacement parts to customers. Coordinate with Production Manager regarding material scheduled for subcontracted operations. Assist in execution order kitting process and tasks. Expedites existing purchase orders; communicates changes; routine P.O. follow-up. Creates and places new purchase orders for routine shop supplies and consumables. Assists with weekly visual low inventory review, compiles results, reviews with purchasing and coordinates purchase of required materials. Responsible for projects to improve the general organization of inventory, such as establishing minimum/maximum stock levels and re-label inventory boxes and shelf tags. Maintains a physical presence in Shipping/Receiving and production areas to observe, assist and identify areas for improvement; analyze tasks to develop more efficient methods and processes. Driving to deliver or pick up material and/or components from local businesses. Other duties as assigned. Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance logistical operations. Competencies Expert PC skills. High exposure and ability in MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook. Customer/Client Focus. Ethical Conduct. Personal Effectiveness/Accountability. Touch typing and knowledge of Epicor/Vista software. ]Ability to multitask and communicate efficiently with direct supervisor and key stakeholders. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. and some flexibility with regards to the start and end time is negotiable. Required Education and Experience Proficiency in using ERP systems for inventory management. A high school diploma. Some post-secondary education is desirable. Two to Three years' experience working in a production environment. Valid WA State Driver's License. Experience in forklift operation and securing loads. Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics operations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Forklift certification is a plus. Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor's degree. Experience in logistics, shipping and receiving and EPICOR ERP systems.
