Our employees are not only part of history. NGMS is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer Logistics to join our SEIT & Product Support organization in Baltimore, MD. A Sr Principal Engineer Logistics reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts. This position seeks an Engineer to support the sustainment of the F22 radar. The primary focus of this role will be to develop and execute sustainment strategies to ensure the continued operational ability of the radar. Roles and Responsibilities: Manage engineering cost account spending and charging. Monitor the status of work in process, material availability, and potential repair production problems. Maintain cognizance over repair production technical activities and ensure best manufacturing engineering practices are realized. Coordinate with the systems engineering and program management to ensure the execution of program statement of work and serve as the technical point of contact with the customer. Monitor repair production execution and initiate continuous improvement. Request, review, and approve Engineering Change Proposals (ECP/RN) Lead weekly status meeting focused on next steps and concerns with rework and testing. Identify and support resolution of diminishing manufacturing supply (DMS) parts. Lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) efforts. Support proposals. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience, a Master's degree with 7 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 4 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. U.S. Citizenship is required. The ability to obtain/maintain an Active DoD secret clearance. Ability to lead a multidiscipline team to resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Able to take direction, work remotely, and independently. Prior experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Preferred Qualifications : Experience with military logistic support on acquisition and/or sustainment programs, especially of electronic equipment. Prior experience in a manufacturing discipline implementing repair strategies and processes, especially related to electronic equipment. Ability to use data and information to support tasks and work products such as: Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) analysis, Diminishing Manufacturing Source (DMS) management, Logistic Support Data and Logistics Management Information (LMI) reports. Advanced knowledge in utilizing MS Office Suite including: Word, Excel and Access. Willingness to physically work, and travel between NGC buildings in Baltimore area. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Salary Range: $95,400 - $143,200The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
