Center 1 (19052), United States of America, McLean, VirginiaSr. Manager, Card Central Financial Planning & AnalysisCapital One is seeking a culture-led, results-driven, and strategic Sr. Manager of Card Finance.This is an exciting time for Card Central Finance, as we work to help grow the Card business, a key engine for Capital One's success, during a time of particularly large and rapidly evolving developments in the internal and external landscape.The team helps shape the longer term financial objectives of the Card business, with a particular focus on the Revenue and Volumes side of the business. This role will allow you to see all aspects of our Card business, to drive meaningful insights for our senior executives that enable them to make informed decisions about growth and investment strategy, and to influence outcomes at the business level.This leader will oversee the Internal Analytics Team within Card Central Finance, focused on Revenue and Volumes, managing a team of 3 associates to provide oversight for the actuals and outlook, coordinate across Card segment CFOs, OpEx and Marketing teams, to understand segment-level performance, create synthesized insights and narratives for the overall Card business, and present monthly and quarterly financial results to senior executives, including the President of Card, Capital One's CFO, and the Card CFO. In addition, this Sr. Manager will lead strategic analyses on white space topics, long-term financial strategy, and other critical areas of financial strategy, along with overseeing Card Finance's well-managed agenda.Roles require strong leadership, problem solving strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insightsPartner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organizationDevelop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiencesKey responsibilities include:Develop a deep understanding of the components of the Card P&L to help drive insights and analytics on the financial performance the total Card businessAccurately analyze & explain key drivers and monthly variances, suggest actions to the business, and manage the regular reporting process for total CardGenerate ongoing analytical insights into revenue-related items and overall financial performanceDevelop and deliver senior management presentationsEnsure financial management of operating and marketing expenses; proactively identify and resolve financial issues, lead near-term target management, long term strategic planning, CCAR, Managerial Capital, and GoodwillCollaborate across the broader Card Central Finance team and partner effectively with other team leadersCreate well-managed sustainable processes and continuously challenge what's possibleIndependently manage, prioritize, and delegate tasksManage and develop 3 analysts; coaching and mentoring associates with a goal of developing and retaining talentBe comfortable working in white space and the ability to get work done through others Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 3 years of experience in financial analysisAt least 3 years of experience with financial modeling Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in FinanceChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license5+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function5+ years of experience in financial analysis and financial modeling3+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function2+ years of people management experience managing both direct and indirect reports1+ year of experience in Google's G Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs, etc.) At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
