JOB DESCRIPTION Purpose of JobThe purpose of this job is to assist in managing the airport's day-to-day operations in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations and policies to ensure the safe and efficient movement ofpassengers.RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all- inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned: Responds to emergencies and coordinates their resolution while providing updates to executive staff. Must be adaptable to performing under minimal stress when confronted with an emergency.Communicates effectively and exchanges information in a professional and positive manner with customers, tenants, airport employees and other staff members.Works extensively with TSA on a daily basis to ensure the safe and efficient movement of passengers through the airport's security checkpoints.Provides operational expertise and is responsible for interacting and maintaining positive relationships with other departments and airport stakeholders.Performs daily checks of the airport's terminals, concourses, parking lots, curbsides, airport access roadways and other airport facilities.Prepares and presents various reports and documents including daily logs and reports for incidents, complaints, maintenance requests and regulatory compliance issues.Assists with the management of several airport contracts.Job requires working shift work to include weekends and holidays. May be subject to hold over and recall for emergencies, including inclement weather.QUALIFICATIONS Minimum QualificationsRequired Education & Experience:Graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Aviation Administration, Aviation Management, Business/Public Administration or a closely related field. A minimum of one (1) year progressively responsible experience working in airport operations. This experience should include extensive interaction with the general public.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Preferred Education & Experience:Completion of NIMS ICS core courses (ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-700, and ICS-800) and experience participating in an Incident Management System during emergencies preferred.Certification as an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) or a Certified Member (C.M.) with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE).Licenses & Certifications:Requires the possession of a valid Georgia driver's license at the time of employment.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge and an U.S. Customs and Border Protection Seal.
