About Our Opportunity Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Inspector Specialist 3 (Senior Compliance Officer) assists with the management and operations of the Metro office of Investigation and Enforcement, Alcohol, Gaming, Fuel and Tobacco Division (AGFT) in the delivery of services and programs, efficient use of staff in the planning, scheduling and coordinating of compliance assignments. The incumbent is expected to assume a leadership role during compliance inspections, mentoring and coaching. In addition, the Inspector Specialist; Is responsible to act during the absence of the manager, during such times, this position has the full responsibility in the supervision and direction of workflow. Will be responsible for providing highly technical knowledge and advice along with functional direction consistent with legislation, regulations and policy of the Department. Assists with investigations, case preparation, including interviewing and taking statements for the purposes of presenting evidence at disciplinary hearings and court cases. Supports in maintaining an effective compliance monitoring program at the Halifax Casino.
