For People is a team of skilled technologists improving government digital services for disadvantaged and vulnerable populations. We embed directly in government agencies to modernize software, systems, and platforms so that they better serve people. Your Impact As a Senior Product Manager at For People, you will play a pivotal role in the digital transformation of federal government services. You will lead a talented cross-functional team of five individuals redesigning key user experiences and implementing Drupal to modernize a content-rich Department of Commerce (DOC) Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) website. This new project will transform how DOC BIS disseminates important information, enabling small businesses to grow to new markets. This role will blend together technical expertise, leadership skills, agile delivery, and a deep understanding of human-centered design frameworks. Our Culture For People is a team of humans. Our entire team is remote across the United States, from the West Coast to the East Coast. There will never be a return-to-office, as we have none!This position's published base salary range is between $100,000 and $130,000 annually, plus generous benefits (e.g., For People pays 100% of Gold-tier employee health insurance premiums) and annual company profit sharing. Your Opportunities Direct the end-to-end implementation of a new Drupal CMS, styling, and information architecture for a major Department of Commerce website Collaborate with user researchers to understand user needs and behaviors, translating insights into proposed product features Advocate for human-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring user experience is at the heart of all decisions Work with a cross-functional team to define project goals, create user stories, and maintain a prioritized product backlog Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups Drive continuous improvement of the platform based on user feedback and key performance indicators Actively engage with project stakeholders, maintaining transparent communication, incorporating their feedback, and ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle You Bring A humble and caring attitude aligning with For People’s values – how we work with passion, fun, curiosity and sustainability, humility and respect. 5+ years of experience in product management with a focus on website modernization Experience managing user-facing content-heavy website projects Demonstrated experience applying human-centered design frameworks to websites Proficiency in Agile project management tools and techniques Strong leadership and communication skills, engaging both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders Experience in government settings and working with Drupal is a bonus If you're passionate about modernizing government websites and ready to make information more easily understandable to America’s businesses, we encourage you to apply.
