AstraZeneca is looking to hire an Associate Director, Data Management Operations to join the Data Management & Operations team within join the Strategic Field Operations (SFO) team. What you'll do: You will be responsible for aligning our data management capabilities to the business strategy while reinforcing the value of data as a competitive asset critical to enabling Commercial decision making. You will be accountable to represent the Data Management function supporting all Therapeutic Areas within AstraZeneca's Biopharmaceutical Business Unit (BBU). Will lead multiple cross-functional business, operations, technology, and vendor relationships having a core responsibility for Specialty Care data operations (not limited to), Data access, use, and effectiveness; data quality and process efficiency; budget and procurement; and overall data governance across the US Commercial functions.You will bring a foundation of data management & business insight related to Commercial Data Management. Have a thorough understanding and application of Specialty Care distribution data (Specialty Distributor (SD) & Specialty Pharmacy (SP)), data aggregation, and other key data sets (including all IQVIA data offerings. Will drive the continued development of SFO that increases the value of the rapidly growing BBU portfolio. Will provide direction to a matrixed team including our primary support vendor and external & internal data providers on business priorities, timelines, and requirements. Manage business stakeholder relationships and provide timely updates and status. Lead the identification, evaluation, interpretation, integration, aggregation, and visualization of different data sources across AZ platform(s) driving data quality, data accessibility, and key business capabilities. Act as subject matter expert for Commercial data including specialty data in support of customer projects and SFO internal processes.In summary, you will be the AstraZeneca in-house go-to lead for All Commercial data with focus on Specialty Care data while optimizing the data management capabilities that drive our business, provide insights, and create the opportunity to improve the patient experience. Must be a confident, solutions-oriented leader without being constrained by in-place process or precedent. Minimum Essential Requirements: Bachelor's degree; preferably in a relevant field 6+ years pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, 6+ years of Commercial Data Management and/or relted experience. Experience working in a Data Management, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and/or Analytics environment. Experience understanding and application of Specialty Care distribution data (Specialty Distributor (SD) & Specialty Pharmacy (SP)), data aggregation. Experience across product life cycle (emerging, launch, in-line, mature) Preferred Experience Respiratory Biologics experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to drive and improve data management processes, tools and techniques (for all key commercial datasets including digital) Ability to lead and influence others in a matrixed organization to achieve desired results Strong business and marketing acumen and excellent communication and interpersonal skills; consultative background preferred Ability to define and manage deadlines plus identify and mitigate risks Ability to work in fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities Ability, want, and purpose to transform and shape the future of commercial strategy and operations and the value we bring Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of variety of secondary data sources and or primary data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Veeva, Definitive Healthcare, Digital etc.) Ability to, shape, and partner with Data Management's key stakeholders across Brand teams, Sales Leaders, Insights & Analytics, Reporting, Market Access, Medical, Compliance, Legal, and IT.
