Do not upload traveler candidates to this need. Thank you!The ICU Registered Nurse prescribes andcoordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients. They carry outthese responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursingpractice, medical direction, and hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Relateseffectively with other shifts for continuity of care; maintains satisfactoryrelations with other departments and nursing units; participates in all phasesof education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures,and skills of personnel. The ANA s standards apply to all nurses in allsettings, and additional specialty standards apply to all specialty nurse sdefining what is a competent or an excellent clinician.
