Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of the accounting process and gain valuable experience in a dynamic industry. Responsibilities: Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledgers Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow Assist with payroll processing and related tasks Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data Support auditors during internal and external audits Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Supervisor Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 2+ years experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous. Previous experience in a non-profit organization is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems
