KAIS LLC is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in our Lagrange, GA location. The ideal candidate will enjoy solving problems and have the ability to dig into a situation to find all factors, weigh the options, and provide the customer with the best possible solution. The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge to engineering principles and communicate effectively. Responsibilities: Define the Quality Objectives Roadmap and obtain Quality Manager approval of targets. Lead a cross-functional team within the PLT to ensure that the objectives are met. Execute the elements of Supplier Advanced Quality Planning including the following elements: SAQP kick-off meeting, Supplier Process Sign-Off, review and approval of Supplier PPAP . Develop the Measurement System Analysis Plan for the program. Responsible to ensure that Gage studies are conducted on all gaging improve Gage R&R where data indicates Responsible for implementation of the Manufacturing Quality Systems for the prototype, pre-production, and production builds as defined in KAIS Quality System and/or specified on the Product Control Plan . Perform capability studies and document the results for all program characteristics, and ensure that Customer and internal requirements are met (or a written Customer deviation is obtained) . Responsible for the color/appearance approval process from pre-grain to PPAP, including proper Customer submission paperwork, by either performing the required activities directly or coordinating the completion of these activities . Responsible to coordinate the preparation and on-time delivery of PPAP packages for submission and approval by the Customer . Responsible to coordinate the preparation and on time delivery of supplier quality deliverables including: Control Plans, Capability Plans, Capability Studies, Part layouts, Gage design, Gage R&R, PFMEA, DFMEA (if applicable). ISIR Ensure that appropriate statistical methods are utilized throughout the Product and Process Development process and deployed into the Control Plan. Ensure that Customer, internally identified, and supplier quality issues are resolved using the KAIS problem solving methods (3-D, 8-D, etc.). . Develop appropriate inspection plans and containment plans Responsible to conduct capability studies, and ensure that they are properly performed and documented for product changes affecting special characteristics, and that Customer and internal requirements are met (or a written Customer deviation is obtained) .
