The candidate will advocate zealously for clients throughout the litigation process by conducting legal research, drafting documents, maintaining client files, and handling trials. Responsibilities also include attending court hearings, performing legal research, providing legal advice, preparing legal documents, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, meeting deadlines, and staying abreast of developments in the law. Duties:Advocate zealously for clients throughout the litigation process.Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings.Perform legal research and analysis.Work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice.Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.Review client issues on legal matters and determine the best course of action.Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.Meet court deadlines and internal deadlines.Maintain excellent communication with clients.Stay abreast of developments in family law. Requirements:Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland.3+ years of litigation experience handling family law matters.Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle a case file from intake to trial. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. Skills:Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work with all levels of staff and clients.Proficiency in legal research and analysis.Ability to handle a case file from intake to trial.Organizational skills and attention to detail.
