The ideal candidate will have outstanding credentials and qualifications. Duties:Work on domestic and international transactions for clients in industries such as software, pharma and life sciences, consumer products, and media and entertainment.Handle mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures, strategic alliances, restructurings, and other corporate transactions.Draft and negotiate technology-related agreements, including software and systems agreements, outsourcing contracts, RD agreements, collaboration agreements, and licenses for patents, trademarks, copyrights, and data/databases.Provide legal advice and support to clients on intellectual property matters.Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on transactional matters.Conduct legal research and analysis to support client objectives. Requirements:4-6 years of experience with technology and IP-intensive transactions or other relevant experience.Outstanding credentials and qualifications. Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver. Skills:Experience with technology and intellectual property transactions.Strong drafting and negotiation skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Legal research and analytical abilities. The Illinois law office is the biggest workplace of the firm. The time-honored law practice opened for business at this location one-hundred and three years ago. To date, there are six-hundred and fifty seasoned attorneys staffed at this location. There are eight areas of practice. Disciplines consist of litigation, corporate, real estate, intellectual property, restructuring, tax, employee benefits and tax-estates. The Midwest office received a LEED Silver Certification for their green interior design.
