About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Application and Cloud Transformation Platform Engineering team that is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) network infrastructure. In this role, you will: Lead complex technology Cloud initiatives, including those that are companywide, with broad impactAct as a key contributor in automating the provisioning of Cloud Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Make decisions in developing standards and best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutionsDesign, optimize, and document the engineering aspects of the Cloud platformLead and share understanding of industry best practices and how new technologies influence the Cloud technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions in Cloud for strategic business objectives and solving technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple parameters, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsBuild and enable Cloud infrastructure, automate the orchestration for GCP for Wells Fargo EnterpriseWork in a globally distributed team and provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutionsClosely work with Product Team and vendors to develop and deploy Cloud services to meet customer expectationsCollaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of cloud-based systemsGather and analyze data to diagnose the root cause of Cloud issues, recommend and implement solutions to resolve issues in timely manner Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a proven track record of building complex infrastructure programmatically with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools2+ years of hands-on experience with IaC tools Terraform and GitHubStrong understanding of GCP networking services, such as Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), Cloud Virtual Private Network (VPN), Cloud Interconnect, Virtual Network (Vnet) and Cloud Load BalancingIn-depth knowledge of network protocols, security, and compliance standardsExperience with scripting and automation tools for network provisioning and configuration Desired Qualifications: Cloud certification on GCPExposure to Cloud governance and logging/monitoring toolsExperience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) principlesProficient on container-based solution services, have handled 2-3 large scale Kubernetes based infrastructure build out, provisioning of services in Azure or GCPExperience in scripting (Shell, Python)Proficiency in configuring and managing IPsec VPNs for both site-to-site and client-to-site connectivity. Understand Network Address Translation (NAT), security policies, and access control lists (ACLs)Skilled in troubleshooting network issues, applying updates, patches, and configuration changes to resolve problems and improve network reliabilityExperience in networking concepts; switches, routers, firewalls, as well as protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, TLS, DNS/DHCP and routing protocols (Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF))Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiencesAbility to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structureDelivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment Job Expectations: Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job openingThis position offers a hybrid work scheduleThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
