Overview Cimpl's Meats, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a Refrigeration Technician at our Yankton, SD plantAs a Refrigeration Technician you will: * Perform daily recording of refrigeration equipment, utilities, room temperatures, chilled water softness, and waste water pH. * Use required tools and/or equipment to perform skilled level work on ammonia industrial refrigeration system, which includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of all system components. * Perform visual checks of freezer and cooler evaporators and recording issues to be addressed (fans, ice build-up, condensates drains). * Adjust the compressor pressure and temperature as needed. * Monitor ammonia levels of all accumulators and high-pressure vessels. * Correct use of Lockout/Tagout procedures. * Keep the maintenance shop and all work areas clean and organized. * NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required): * Must be 18 years of age or older. * Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. * High school diploma or GED. * Operator 1 license. * Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts. * Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs. * Must be able to successfully complete training: * Safety * Safe Quality Food (SQF) * Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) * Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) * Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Food defensePreferred Qualifications: * Prior maintenance experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork or poultry facility * Prior production experience. * Work history in the last 12 months.
